With a full evening vocal and instrumental performance on Monday, 26 October at 8 PM at UK Palilula’s Stamenković stage, the KOLO Ensemble continues its efforts in social responsibility. After celebrating World Autism Awareness Day by the performance at UK Palilula, the including of the folklore section of the Different Together association in the Ensemble’s concert programme at the National Theatre in Niš, as well as their visit to the Ensemble premises to observe the artists’ preparations for the World Music Day celebration, the KOLO Ensemble’s donor concert at Atelje 212 to raise funds for the School for Children with Developmental Disabilities Novi Beograd’s sensory room will mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In 1999 the United Nations officially declared 25 November to be International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The diversity of musical genres ranging from traditional and spiritual compositions to renditions of songs with traditional motifs proves the broadness of possibilities, interests, and programme lines that the KOLO Ensemble KOLO fosters. Besides the KOLO Ensemble’s artists, the programme will also include guests: Bora Dugić, Dragoslav Pavle Aksentijević, Ana Ćurčin, Biber band, Bojan Ivković, and Jovana Lazić.
